Senator A: Greta, let me set the record straight. I have long opposed many aspects of the Healthcare Bill that is currently being debated in the Senate. I have said repeatedly that we must find a way to fix our healthcare mess without adding to the deficit and piling up debts for our children and grandchildren.
Hostess: Senator A, can you say that with all the back-room negotiations and special awards to some senators that the President has really been mindful of doing what America demands?
There is one wild card in the political process. It is Senator Olympia Snow of Maine. She has shown a tendency in the past to break with her party and vote as she sees fit. If she were to vote for health care reform, the plan could come back from the dead. Will she? It is impossible to know, but let’s just say there is going to be a long line at the door of her office and an absolute ton of pressure being placed on her.
The Immigration situation in this country today, is so far out of control, it may never be right again. They have not stopped them from coming. Homeland Security is a huge joke. The Border Patrol is even more of a joke. They aren’t making the billions of dollars given to them, work for any of the illegal problem.
THE PRESIDENT: This raises an important question, because it goes to the overall debate that’s taking place out there right now. When we talk about reform, you hear some opponents of reform saying that somehow we are trying to ration care, or restrict the doctors that you can see, or you name it. Well, that’s what’s going on right now. It’s just that the decisions are being made by the insurance companies.
The number of uninsured in america is 49.9 million people, according to the U.S. Census. Its easy enough to track – the united states Census Bureau annually reports statistics on the uninsured.
The stimulus plan is a huge failure. 9.5 percent unemployment with job loses of 467,000 in the month of June. So, officially we are out of 4.4 million jobs. How is the “create and or save jobs” working for you now sales man-in-chief?
