Thankfully, my family is healthy with no pre-existing conditions. We currently have medical insurance. I stay at home with our daughter, and purchase a high-deductible insurance policy for myself online. My wife gets insurance for her and our daughter through her employer. It is significantly cheaper for us to buy my insurance separately. Health insurance for our family is our biggest expense — even more than our monthly mortgage payment! We are both 31, and our daughter is not yet one year old. Our combined annual income is around ,000.
Riding a city bus can lend itself to many occasions for entertainment. Watching the old guy try and hit on the 17 year old on her way home from school. Overhearing the one-up-manship of who was in jail longer or who has been out the shortest amount of time. All can be very amusing for people watching during the commute.
What is to come in the next decade? Two of my grandchildren will graduate from high school. I will be approaching retirement towards the end. My husband will retire at the end of the decade. I also know as of June 2010 I will have one more grandchild.
First and foremost they were taking bribes from all the huge mega corporations. The corporations didn’t want workers they wanted slaves they could mistreat, pay next to nothing wages for and pay no benefits to. In the millions of illegals crossing the border, the corporations got the cheap, slave labor they had long sought. All they had to do was to bribe presidents, congress and the senate to do it. The had to bribe a DEA and border security official now and then as well but for them it was well worth it.
At the end of the day, these people don’t like anybody. Even if you come into their “positive radar screen” for a while, they will eventually become disappointed and eventually not like you. It’s one of the reasons they end up being so isolated, because they literally cut everybody off and turn people that they may have had a positive relationship with into, “this is just another person who wants to hurt me,” or is ignorant, or whatever. I think that’s what he did with her.
We’ve elected our first African American president who has been in office about a year now. The polls are already judging him and dropping by his accomplishments of that first year. As usual we expect everything to be fixed by now but it took awhile for our country to become this way. He was slow on his judgment of sending more to war but pushing so quickly to get this health care reform through. The health care reform – personally I could wait on. They are pushing too fast. I feel this needs more time for thought and work.
THE PRESIDENT: This raises an important question, because it goes to the overall debate that’s taking place out there right now. When we talk about reform, you hear some opponents of reform saying that somehow we are trying to ration care, or restrict the doctors that you can see, or you name it. Well, that’s what’s going on right now. It’s just that the decisions are being made by the insurance companies.
